Amy has been the principal registered nurse at Grand Medical Centre since April 2016. Prior to practice nursing, Amy previously worked as a medical/surgical nurse for six years at both Logan Hospital and Sunnybank Private. Our registered nurse assists in triage and emergencies, ECGs, wound care management and surgical procedures (such as skin excisions, biopsies, ingrown toenails and gynaecological procedures), ear syringing, childhood and adult immunisations, travel vaccines, B12 and hormone Injections, health assessments (such as 4 year health checks, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people health checks, Over 75 years annual health assessments and chronic disease management. Amy is also on hand to provide advice re: women’s contraception options and is available each Monday and Friday.
Ms Ashika McCandless is our Practice Manager and assists with the day to day running of the Practice.
She enjoys interacting with people of all ages and is very friendly and helpful.
Our friendly receptionists are Tahlia, Jessica and Candice. They are your first point of contact with the surgery and manages our appointments and referral system. They have a great understanding of the local specialists in the area and are always happy to help with any queries you may have.
Ms Michelle Tong is a female Dietitian with expertise in diabetes and is a the Diabetic Educator.
Besides English, she fluently speaks Cantonese and Mandarin.

Angeline Yeoh is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Accredited Nutritionist who graduated with a Master’s Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics.
She is the founder of Back To Basics Dietetics (www.bbdiet.com.au) with a special interest in diabetes, heart disease, weight management, cancer and plant-based nutrition.

Jacob has a keen interest in Paediatric Podiatry and Chronic Disease Management and has experience in both the private and public health sectors.
Common conditions treated include but are not limited to;
sports related injuries such as sprains, strains, dislocations and fractures, lower limb joint and neurovascular pathology, heel pain and other musculoskeletal issues, skin lesions such as excessive callus, corn development, nail pathologies and wound care.
Jacob also provides treatment for children’s developmental concerns such as bow legs, over-pronation (flat feet), heel pain, walking difficulties such as in-toeing, out-toeing, toe-walking, plantar warts, foot and toe deformities, and special needs Podiatric care.
Our psychologist Liz Anderson, has been a fully qualified practitioner for the last 18yrs working in both the government and private sectors. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
She has worked with people of varying ages from all walks of life in areas such as relationship issues, couples counselling, anxiety, depression, stress, anger and pain management, grief and loss, work place issues, bipolar, schizophrenia and injury adjustment. Liz takes an integrative approach to her therapy utilising techniques from a range of evidence based therapies to help create positive changes in your life.
On a personal note she is the mum to 2 young energetic children and a cheeky cat.
